About the event

We are absolutely thrilled to be joined by Toby Hughes, one of the foremost double bassists in the UK acclaimed for his exceptional talent and virtuosity. This concert is going to showcase the double bass and you'll hear the instrument in ways you never thought possible! 

The main work of the programme is a really gorgeous piece of chamber music, Vaughan William's quintet for violin, viola, cello, piano and double bass which will be preceded by an extraordinary mix of music, from contempory, to folk, to a romantic virtuosic show  piece for the double bass.
