GAIGA LIVE at Forest Hill Boys

After April’s sold-out performance at Ignition Brewery, Tom Norris returns to Sydenham with

a matinee performance as Gaiga — his solo project built from four sound sources: a 133-

year-old upright piano, a Swiss music box, solo violin and live granular processing.

Tom, who is co-principal second violin of the London Symphony Orchestra, performs music from

Gaiga’s debut album alongside brand new material from RELICS, his forthcoming project —

a journey of memory, decay and transformation — in a live show accompanied by immersive

visuals from artist Rafa Filomeno and live strings with Ellie Fagg.

Expect a room transformed: projected texture and light responding in real time to instruments that carry their own history in every note.

Presented as part of the Sydenham Arts Trail with the opportunity to look at some of the art on display, this will be a truly inspiring day!
